Bo Levi Mitchell threw three touchdown passes to lead the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to a 24-17 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Thursday night.
Mitchell connected with Kiondre Smith for a touchdown in the first half, setting the tone for the Tiger-Cats' offense. The veteran quarterback finished with 289 passing yards, completing 22 of 31 attempts.
The Tiger-Cats' defense also stepped up, holding the Blue Bombers to just 17 points and forcing two turnovers. Winnipeg's offense struggled to find consistency against Hamilton's defensive pressure.
With the win, Hamilton improves to 2-1 on the season, while Winnipeg falls to 1-2. The Tiger-Cats will look to build on this momentum in their next game against the Toronto Argonauts.
