A 50-year-old man from the Franktown, Ontario, area has died following a serious snowmobile collision with a parked trailer. The incident occurred on private property, casting a pall over the rural community.
Emergency Response on Brunton Sideroad
Ontario Provincial Police reported they were called to a crash site on private land adjacent to Brunton Sideroad. According to authorities, the victim was discovered by a family member who immediately initiated emergency measures.
Lanark County paramedics and police officers rushed to the scene. Despite the life-saving efforts, the man had sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OPP Launches Detailed Investigation
The investigation into the fatal snowmobile crash is being led by the Lanark County Detachment of the OPP. To assist in determining the cause, they have enlisted a technical officer from the OPP's specialized Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
