Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) is strengthening its credit trading operations with several senior appointments, including new leadership roles focused on credit-default swaps (CDS) and electronic trading, according to an internal memo reviewed by Bloomberg.
Key Hires and Roles
Jackson Graham is set to join RBC in June as head of single-name CDS trading. He previously worked at Squarepoint Capital and spent five years at Morgan Stanley in New York and London, where he served as head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa CDS trading. Based in New York, Graham will report to Santosh Sateesh, global head of credit derivatives trading.
Vincent Boccio joined RBC this month as U.S. head of credit electronic trading strategy. In this role, he will oversee investment-grade and high-yield electronic trading businesses. Boccio, a New York-based director, reports to Justin Snyder, head of U.S. investment-grade trading. He previously worked at Spanish lender BBVA SA.
Additionally, John Perkins will join RBC in June as a director in high-yield trading. Perkins, formerly a director at Bank of Montreal, will report to Raegan Knox, head of U.S. high-yield trading.
Other Appointments
Brian Beggans started last month as a senior investment-grade salesperson following a garden leave. He is based in Florida and reports to Dan Spitzberg, head of U.S. high-grade credit sales.
An RBC representative confirmed the hires but declined to comment further. Representatives for Squarepoint, BBVA, and BMO did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
These appointments underscore RBC's commitment to expanding its credit trading capabilities amid evolving market dynamics. The new team members bring extensive experience from top financial institutions, positioning RBC to enhance its offerings in CDS and electronic trading.
