Texas state Representative Christian Manuel announced via social media that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality had deployed air monitoring equipment to the site and was collaborating with local and state agencies. He emphasized precautions for nearby communities, stating: "Please limit outdoor activity, keep windows and doors closed, and follow guidance from local officials."
