McFarlane Lake Mining Announces Significant Gold Discoveries at Juby Project

McFarlane Lake Mining Limited has released promising results from its ongoing diamond drilling exploration campaign at the 100%-owned Juby Gold Project, located west of Gowganda, Ontario, within the southern Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The drilling program, which began in December 2025, has yielded high-grade gold intersections that are expanding the known mineralization zones.

Key Drilling Results and Expansion Plans

Drill hole GL 26-71 at the Golden Lake Zone intersected 95.4 metres at 1.36 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including higher-grade sections of 55.4 metres at 1.96 g/t gold and 9.9 metres at 3.22 g/t gold. This intersection extends beyond the previous mineral resource estimate, dated September 29, 2025, with some assays still pending. To further test this mineralization, another diamond drill hole, GL 76-72, is being drilled approximately 100 metres to the southwest, and an additional 13 holes are planned along a southeast/northwest corridor at Golden Lake.

At the 826 Zone, drilling has expanded the gold mineralization envelope to stretch about 300 metres along strike, introducing a new mineralized area approximately 1.5 kilometres away from the existing resource estimate. This discovery highlights the untapped potential of the Juby Gold Project for adding significant gold resources.

Company Leadership and Strategic Initiatives

Mark Trevisiol, CEO and Chairman of McFarlane, expressed enthusiasm about the early results, stating, "What we have intersected so early in the drill program is extremely encouraging. The intersection at Golden Lake significantly widens the mineralized envelope, and the discovery at the 826 Zone supports the project's potential for expansion." To accelerate exploration efforts, the company plans to add a second diamond drill at the site, scheduled to commence in the second week of March 2026. Drilling will initially focus on the Golden Lake deposit over the next 6 to 8 weeks, followed by work at the Juby deposit and potentially further drilling at the 826 Zone.

Environmental and Community Engagement

In parallel with drilling activities, environmental baseline studies are ongoing at the site. Groundwater wells will be drilled around the Juby deposit in March as part of technical data collection for future submissions to Ontario government ministries, supporting McFarlane's application to extract a bulk sample. The drilling operations are conducted in partnership with two firms that have business relationships with two of the three First Nation communities with territorial rights on the property: Matachewan First Nation, Temagami First Nation, and Atikameksheng Anishnawbek First Nation.

These developments underscore McFarlane Lake Mining's commitment to responsible resource development and collaboration with Indigenous communities, while advancing the exploration of high-grade gold deposits in a historically rich mining region.
