2026 GTA RenoMark Awards Celebrate Excellence in Renovation and Custom Building
2026 RenoMark Awards Honour Top Renovators and Builders

On April 22, the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) proudly hosted the 2026 GTA RenoMark Awards ceremony in Vaughan, Ontario. The event brought together 150 renovators and custom home builders to celebrate excellence in renovation and custom home building at a time when innovation and industry leadership are more critical than ever.

The Importance of the Renovation Industry

The renovation sector is a vital component of Ontario's housing ecosystem. It supports over 170,000 jobs directly and indirectly and generates $11.3 billion in wages. Events like the RenoMark Awards provide an opportunity for professionals to reflect on the industry's progress and current state.

Award History and Growth

Established in 1999, the RenoMark Awards recognize professional renovators and custom home builders for quality work, innovation, customer service, and industry leadership. The program has grown steadily and is now the largest of its kind in Canada.

This year, BILD received 85 top-tier submissions across 20 categories. A panel of 18 industry professionals from across Canada served as volunteer judges to evaluate the entries.

Top Honours

The highest accolades went to Sunnylea Homes, named Renovator of the Year, and Lanescape, which received the Custom Builder of the Year award. MENATWORK was another standout winner, taking home six awards, including Best Overall Home Renovation and Best Kitchen Renovations (both over and under $100,000).

Category Winners

In space renovation categories, Pine Glen Homes won Best Basement Renovation, while Lifestyles by Barons Inc earned Best Washroom Renovation. Seven winners were recognized in home renovation categories, including Master Edge Homes for Best Adaptiv Renovation, which focuses on accessible or aging-in-place design.

Adaptive design enhances accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges, such as seniors using walkers or wheelchair users. It prioritizes independence, safety, and spontaneity in built spaces. Architects, renovators, builders, and developers all play a role in removing barriers for people with disabilities and those wishing to age in their homes.

Custom and Commercial Categories

Norseman Construction and Alair Homes Toronto (Forest Hill) won awards in custom home categories. Sunnylea Homes also received Best Condominium Renovation, and JY Construction won Best Commercial Renovation.

Setting Industry Standards

The award recipients set benchmarks for professionalism and expertise in the industry. Their work inspires both renovators and homeowners considering renovation projects. Every year, thousands of Canadians undertake home renovations and face the crucial decision of choosing a renovator. Renovating with confidence means trusting your renovator throughout the journey.
