The 2026 GTA RenoMark Awards, hosted by the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD), recognized outstanding achievements in renovation and custom home building. The ceremony took place on April 22 in Vaughan, Ontario, with 150 renovators and custom home builders in attendance.
Top Honours and Category Winners
Sunnylea Homes was named Renovator of the Year, while Lanescape received the Custom Builder of the Year award. MENATWORK stood out with six awards, including Best Overall Home Renovation and Best Kitchen Renovations (both over and under $100,000). Pine Glen Homes won Best Basement Renovation, and Lifestyles by Barons Inc took home Best Washroom Renovation.
In the home renovation categories, Master Edge Homes earned the Best Adaptive Renovation award, which focuses on accessible design for aging in place or individuals with disabilities. Norseman Construction and Alair Homes Toronto (Forest Hill) also won in custom home categories. Sunnylea Homes additionally received Best Condominium Renovation, and JY Construction won Best Commercial Renovation.
Industry Impact and Significance
The renovation sector supports over 170,000 jobs in Ontario and generates $11.3 billion in wages. The RenoMark Awards, established in 1999, recognize professionalism, innovation, customer service, and industry leadership. This year, 85 submissions across 20 categories were evaluated by 18 volunteer judges from across Canada.
Dave Wilkes, President and CEO of BILD, emphasized that maintaining excellence in renovation is crucial as homebuyers face challenging decisions. The RenoMark program, launched in 2001, connects homeowners with professional renovators who adhere to a strict code of conduct, ensuring superior service and customer protection.
