Durham Regional Police Service is actively searching for two men in connection with separate auto theft investigations that involve the trafficking of stolen vehicles across the Greater Toronto Area.
Clinton Hahn: A Brampton Man Facing Dozens of Charges
Clinton Hahn, a 43-year-old resident of Brampton, is wanted by authorities for his alleged role in the trafficking of more than 40 stolen vehicles. Police have released a photo of Hahn, who faces nearly 60 charges related to these crimes.
The charges against Hahn include 10 counts of theft of a motor vehicle and 43 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 for the purposes of trafficking. Additionally, he is wanted for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order.
Nicholas Blanchette: A Quebecer Linked to Organized Crime
In a separate probe, police are seeking the public's assistance in locating Nicholas Blanchette, a 23-year-old from Quebec. According to Durham police's auto robbery crime unit, Blanchette travels to Ontario to steal vehicles as part of an organized auto theft ring operating in the GTA.
Blanchette faces multiple charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of traffic in property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 for the purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and failing to comply with a probation order.
