Welland Pedophile Daniel Senecal Faces Sentencing After Guilty Plea

Registered sex offender Daniel Senecal pleaded guilty to a series of horrific charges, including the sexual assault of a three-year-old girl in Welland, Ontario, during the summer of 2025. His sentencing is expected in late July, according to the Parole Board of Canada.

Details of the Crimes

Senecal's charges include breaking and entering, aggravated sexual assault on a person under 16, sexual interference, assault by choking, failing to comply with probation, and possessing child sexual abuse exploitation material. The assault occurred on Aug. 31, 2025, while Senecal was on probation. Police responded to a medical assistance call and found the front door appeared forced open. The young victim suffered multiple severe injuries.

Senecal had previously been released early after violently sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy. He is listed on the National Sex Offender Registry. Community outrage erupted when his criminal history became known.

Zizian Cult Member Charged in Parents' Murder

Michelle Zajko, 33, a member of the Zizian cult, has been charged with the double murder of her wealthy parents outside Philadelphia in 2022. Homicide detectives allege the murders occurred on Zajko's 30th birthday. The Zizians are a group of wealthy, well-educated, AI-obsessed vegans, many of whom identify as transgender. The cult was involved in a murder spree across the U.S. in 2022 and 2023.

In a related incident, on Jan. 20, 2025, two cult members shot and killed U.S. Border Patrol Agent David Maland near the Canadian border. One of the shooters, Felix “Ophelia” Bauckholt, a former University of Waterloo student, also died. Teresa Youngblut allegedly fired the fatal shot and faces the death penalty. Police stated Zajko did not act alone.

Saskatoon Serial Child Killer Will Die in Prison

David Threinen, now 77, terrorized Saskatoon in the summer of 1975, murdering four children. He would lure children into his car with promises of ice cream, drive them to secluded areas, and strangle them. One victim was also raped. Threinen confessed and led police to the burial site.

A recent Parole Board of Canada report confirms Threinen will die behind bars. The presiding judge at his trial stated, “I am definite and emphatic in the view that the safety of the public and in particular that of children demands that the prisoner, Threinen, forever be prevented from release of any kind.” He received a life sentence with no parole for 20 years.

Concordia University Shooter Dies in Prison

Valery Fabrikant, the former Concordia University mechanical engineering professor who killed four colleagues and wounded a secretary in a 1992 shooting spree, died at age 86. He was serving a life sentence at Archambault Institution in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec. Fabrikant had been facing dismissal at the time of the shootings.
