President Donald Trump was rushed offstage shortly after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner began on Saturday after gunshots were fired outside the ballroom where dinner was being served.

Heavily armed security agents suddenly appeared alongside the banquet table where the president and first lady were sitting alongside White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, Vice President JD Vance and other guests of honor.
No Injuries Reported
Trump and Vance were uninjured during the melee, The Associated Press reported. The incident sent a shock through the ballroom as some guests ducked under tables and cleared the room. Prominent news reporters and Trump administration officials were among those in the crowd.
