A man from Fort Chipewyan, Alberta, is facing a series of serious charges following an incident where he allegedly fled from police during an early morning patrol, leading to the seizure of firearms.
Early Morning Incident Leads to Arrest
The events unfolded in the early hours of January 11, 2026. According to the Alberta RCMP, officers were conducting routine patrols on McDermot Avenue at approximately 2:48 a.m. when they observed an off-highway vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
