Cat Rescued from Halifax House Fire, No Injuries

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency responded to a house fire on Charles Street on June 12, 2026. Firefighters rescued a cat from the burning building, and no injuries were reported. The fire was brought under control quickly, and the cause is under investigation.

Firefighters Act Quickly

Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the home. They entered the structure and located the cat, which was safely removed. The cat was treated for smoke inhalation and is expected to recover.
