The announcement came during a ceremony held in Toronto, celebrating the 24th edition of these esteemed awards that highlight rising stars across Canada's culinary landscape.
Meet Vancouver's Culinary Champions
The city's impressive representation on this year's list surpasses all other Canadian cities, demonstrating Vancouver's growing influence in the national dining conversation. The honored establishments include some of the most talked-about venues that have captivated local food enthusiasts throughout the year.
Sushi Hyun Omakase claimed the fourth position, continuing its remarkable streak of culinary accolades. Under the expert guidance of chef-owner Juhyun Lee, this intimate omakase experience has quickly become a destination for sushi purists.
At number six, Nero Tondo has earned praise for its innovative approach to Italian cuisine, bringing authentic flavors and contemporary techniques to Vancouver's competitive dining scene.
Sumibiyaki Arashi secured the eighth spot, with chef and owner Peter Ho leading this establishment that specializes in Japanese charcoal grilling. The restaurant recently gained additional prestige by receiving a Michelin star in October.
Rounding out the top ten at position number ten is Niwa, which has impressed critics and diners alike with its creative dishes like the celebrated Fanny Bay clams in kampachi broth.
