The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on June 24, 2026, in a construction zone on Highway 61 south of the airport. Police responded to reports of an aggressive driver and found the driver showed signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving. The OPP did not release the name of the driver, but confirmed the individual was allegedly under the influence of alcohol while driving through a construction zone.

Public safety concerns
