Canada's Best-Ever Tournament Performance

This marked the furthest the Canadian men's team has ever reached in the World Cup. Canada entered the match ranked No. 30 in the world, while Morocco was ranked No. 6. Despite the ranking disparity, Canadian fans held out hope for an upset after the first 45 minutes ended without a goal.

However, Morocco dominated the second half, scoring in the 50th and 82nd minutes before adding another goal in stoppage time. The final score was 3-0, sending Morocco to the quarterfinals and ending Canada's Cinderella run.
